Document Overview
This is GMADA's published list of unauthorised (unlicensed) colonies within its jurisdiction — colonies developed and sold without the license required under the Punjab Apartment and Property Regulation Act. The list runs to well over 390 entries, overwhelmingly concentrated in S.A.S. Nagar district, and exists so prospective buyers can check whether a colony being marketed to them is legally recognised before they purchase a plot there.
Key Provisions & Structure
Each entry records: serial number, district, colony name, promoter name, area, the revenue village (with H.B. — Hadbast — number), and the Khasra/Khewat numbers covering the land. Representative early entries from S.A.S. Nagar include "Gulab Colony" (promoter Gulab Singh and others, 3.5 acres, village Behelolpur H.B. No. 23) and "Sheetal Nagar" (promoter Amardeep Buildcon Pvt. Ltd., 2.5 acres, same village). Buyers in a colony that appears on this list bear the risk that flows from an unlicensed development — including the need to later seek plot-level regularisation, the register captured in GMADA's separate NOC list.
