Overview of the Public Notice

The Patiala Urban Planning and Development Authority (PDA) has issued a public notice to allottees of commercial properties in Urban Estate Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3, Patiala. The notice concerns the obstruction of common corridors in front of:

  • SCOs
  • SCFs
  • Shops
  • Booths

During inspections by PDA’s Building Branch, it was found that some allottees had placed goods, racks and advertising boards in the corridors, restricting or blocking the passage.

Why Has This Notice Been Issued?

According to the notice, the concerned allottees had already been instructed several times to remove items placed in the common corridors and keep these areas clear. However, the corridors had still not been cleared. PDA has therefore issued a formal public notice directing the concerned allottees to remove all such obstructions.

What Must Allottees Do?

Allottees have been directed to remove:

  • Goods or Merchandise
  • Racks
  • Display material
  • Boards
  • Any other items obstructing the corridor

These items must be removed from the corridor in front of the concerned SCO, SCF, shop or booth.

Deadline

The notice provides a period of 7 days for compliance. The affected allottees are required to:

  1. clear the corridor within the prescribed period; and
  2. inform the PDA office after the obstruction has been removed.

What Happens If the Corridor Is Not Cleared?

The notice states that if an allottee fails to comply within the stipulated time, further action may be initiated under the applicable allotment conditions and rules. The notice does not specify the exact penalty or enforcement action, so those details should not be assumed without referring to the relevant allotment terms or subsequent PDA orders.

Areas Covered

The notice applies to commercial allottees in:

  • Urban Estate Phase 1, Patiala
  • Urban Estate Phase 2, Patiala
  • Urban Estate Phase 3, Patiala
